Looking back at my photos, I realised that I bought some compression socks (and made a quick post on Instagram about them) many months ago, but they never made it to the blog. I’ve already written a fairly lengthy post on compression stockings, with reviews of everything from sports compression tights (2XUs, Skins etc) to Juzo compression stockings to cheap beige maternity stockings, so if you want to know the basics of compression garments for the treatment of POTS, head over there first.
It’s been a while since I updated my electrolyte drink mega-review, which was lacking in powder drinks. I’ve rectified that by adding 5 more drinks to the table: Endura Rehydration Low Carb Fuel, Endura Rehydration Performance Fuel, Hydralyte Sports Powder, Ultima Replenisher Electrolyte Powder, and my old favourite, Powerade Zero. Just letting you know I’ve updated my Electrolyte Drinks Mega-Review post with a couple more reviews. The first is for Repalyte, a flavour-free rehydration sachet which Ruth kindly sent me. It’s a handy alternative for those who cannot tolerate flavours or extra ingredients. The other is Aqualyte, an Australian-made product which proved a sugary disappointment. Usually my POTS* is content to take the back stage and let ME/CFS run the show, but recently it has been asserting itself in a rather forceful manner. Sitting on raised chairs, showering and just existing seems to send my blood rushing from my head to my feet, leaving me spending a lot of time on the floor or against my dresser with my legs up to get that pesky blood back where it belongs.
